On March 14, 2008, our class participated
in the 2008 St. Patrick's Day Project through

Our task was to prove whether or
not there were more clovers than any other marshmallow shape in
a box of Lucky Charms.

First, we predicted which marshmallow shape would be found most
in our box of Lucky Charms.

Next, Mrs. Brunner told us that we had to prove that there would
be more clovers than any other shape. We each had a ziptop
baggie of cereal, a paper towel to lay the cereal on, and a
tally chart. We all got to work sorting and tallying how
many of each marshmallow shape we had. When everyone had
finished, we gathered on the rug to share our data.

Our conclusion: we did NOT have more clovers in our box of
Lucky Charms. We had more rainbows than any other shape.
To finish, we all graphed our individual results and took our
baggies of cereal home to eat after school.
